Hey ladies and gents,
This book was also a reread. Umm, so I forgot how much I love Rhys. Absolutely adore the guy. Anyways, I read this book in less than twenty-four hours, I stayed up until two-thirty this morning (palm face emoji). Totally worth it, I am concerned about what I will read next though.
Let's get into it, shall we. Bridget is a princess going to college at Thayer University. She is second in line for the throne, so she has more freedom than her brother, the crown prince.
Booth, Bridget's bodyguard is having a kid and has to move back to Eldora. Due to this Bridget is getting a new bodyguard. Enter Rhys Larson (heart eyes emoji).

Rhys is Bridget's new bodyguard. In the beginning Bridget and Rhys argue all the time and just can't seem to get along. Slowly but surely Rhys and Bridget become friends, if you could call them that. They were still at each other's throats; however, they had a more working relationship. Most of the problems that they have are because Rhys and Bridget both want to keep their relationship totally professional however, they both are attracted to each other.

It is not until Bridget finds out that her brother is abdicating the throne that they really start to show each other their feelings. With the knowledge that She would be crown princess Bridget tries to let go and take advantage of her last few days of freedom.
Rhys notices the change in her behavior after Bridget tries to go home with a guy, she had previously claimed to not like.
Once Rhys gets Bridget home, he finds out about Bridget's bucket list. After finding out about the bucket list Rhys makes sure that she gets all the things on the list checked off in Costa Rica.
While in Costa Rica, Bridget and Rhys fallow their feelings and Bridget offers Rhys a long-term job as her bodyguard. Rhys declines the job and heads back to the United States on another job assignment from his boss.
After six weeks of radio silence Rhys requests to come back as her full-time bodyguard. At this time Rhys has decided that he wants to be with Bridget in any way possible.

After getting reinstated as Bridget's bodyguard Rhys has to follow her a on a few dates and dances. Each time a guy gets to close Rhys finds a way to stop or put an end to the touching. After Bridget's goodwill trip They start a secret relationship

After one of the staff members notices Bridget and Rhys's relationship they send Bridget an email. When Bridget ignores the email, they leak photos instead.
Once the photos are leaked, Bridget's grandfather has a heart attack after hearing the news, Bridget blames herself and breaks up with Rhys.
Because their relationship is in the news Rhys gets fired and kicked out of the palace. After Bridget breaks up with him Rhys goes off the deep end.
After a few weeks Rhys has a plan of action, now all he needs is his princess to get on board. After Rhys gets Bridget a note through Booth they meet up and plan their next move. Bridget and Rhys are able to get Parliament to appeal the law that requires Bridget to marry another royal. After this, Bridget gets coronated as queen, however, Rhys takes her back to Costa Rica where he purposes to her.
Now, I realize that I have already said this, but I am literally in love with Rhys. If I could pull him out of this book I definitely would. Needless to say, this book is definitely one of my favorites. I like the story line; we get to watch Bridget grow from a girl scared of the press into a Queen who is able to take control of the narrative. While we watch Rhys go from a man who essentially hides in the shadows into a man who is more confident in the spotlight. I would one hundred percent recommend.
My only problem is choosing what to read next. I am completely in a book hangover, I mean, how can you even fallow this one up? Nothing compares and I just don't know what to read.
Sincerely,
Harper
