Hey ladies and gents,
So, I recently picked up the Dreamland Billionaires series, forget the mile long TBR I had and started it. This is the first book in the series and by Lauren that I have read. So far, I am a big fan. Rowen is a hard ass but is also sweet when he opens up. In my opinion, that's the best way for a guy to be.
In the beginning Rowan's Grandfather had just passed away. Due to the clause in his grandpa's will Rowan has to go back to Dreamland and be the director for six months and make changes that benefit Dreamland.
Due to this Rowan moves back to Dreamland, takes over as director, and sits in on a few meetings. During one of these meetings, Rowan meets Zahra.
Zahra is a makeup artist for Dreamland. She makes the kids look like the Dreamland characters. After meeting Rowan, Zahra and Rowan have a rocky relationship. She has no problem telling him what she thinks even though he is her boss.
When an opportunity presents itself, Zahra sends in an application for changing one of Dreamland's biggest rides. When it gets selected, she becomes a Dreamland creator and starts working even closer to Rowen than previously.
Rowen and Zahra interact once a week if not more during the creator's presentation. During the first presentation it becomes evident that she can't draw, and Rowan offers a friend's skill.
When Scott (Rowan's friend) offers to continue drawing all of Zahra's projects she happily accepts, and they soon fall into a routine and rarely go a day without talking.
However, at the same time Rowan comes around often and even becomes Ani's Mentor in a program Zahra was trying to start.
After Rowan and Zahra spend a day together experiencing the park Rowan decides that he wants to be in a relationship with Zarah. However, when he reveals that he was Scott, the one she had been texting with and who had been drawing her pictures she runs.
Figuratively and literally. Zahra does her best to avoid Rowan at all costs. This was only made worse when she finds out she is one of the people responsible for allowing him to get his inheritance or not. Zahra feels like she has been taken advantage of, that Rowan was using their relationship to get her perspective on things and to gain the vote.
While this is how Zahra feels, Rowan has quite different feelings. Rowan's emotions are all over the place but he can conclude one thing for certain. That is that he wants Zahra.
Rowan gets the presentation ready for the vote. Once he starts presenting Zahra realizes that he had listened to all the things she had complained about during their time together. This includes health care and ways to help disabled employees.
At the end of the presentation Zahra realizes that she does in fact miss him and is willing to meet up with him when he texts her later.
When Zahra gets to Rowans house, they sit outside on the porch in the swing Rowan hated so much in the beginning of the book.
When they get through all the hard conversations about the hospital and Rowans past, they move onto Zahra. Once this is all done they realize that they do in fact want to be together and Rowan tells his brother he is staying in Florida.
The very end of the book has Zahra telling Rowan he will be a father. This happens right after they open the new Nebula Land to the public.
I personally really enjoyed this book. I enjoy watching how Rowan and Zahra both grew. Even though they were not perfect and had many things to work though they decided to do so together rather than by themselves. I definitely recommend this one to anyone who wants a sweet yet emotional book.
